Assisting and supporting those in need

Assisting anyone in the locality who requests someone to help, support and be a friend to them. This may involve just chatting, doing things together such as playing games, or going out together. Usually visits are made once a week, but this is informal and up to the participants.

Available NOW from New Mills Volunteer Centre

New Mills Volunteer Centre always welcomes new volunteers or requests for our services.

Our volunteers undertake a wide variety of activities, such as driving housebound people to appointments, shopping, befriending, working with groups, and gardening and DIY.

Volunteers also assist in the Centre office, on reception, in Committee work and through fundraising.
