The Cinnamon Trust is a charity set up to provide help and care for pets. The charity will help with any aspect of day to day pet care E.G. walking a dog for a housebound owner. Also a national fostering service for pets who's owners face a spell in hospital or are no longer around or able to give them care.

There are 18000 volunteers nationally but more are needed. If you know anyone who maybe interested or for more information see http://www.cinnamon.org.uk/

GLOSSOPDALE FURNITURE PROJECT

The project collects donations of second hand furniture etc. from the public and offers them to disadvantaged people throughout the High Peak. They deal with referrals from Social Services, The Housing Department and Womens aid.

Should you have any unwanted items please contact them on 01457 857505

 

Currently they are particularly short of fridges, freezers & Beds(mattresses must have a flame retardent label or cannot be taken). The project would be grateful to receive your unwanted, good quality items.

New Mills Volunteer Centre always welcomes new volunteers or requests for our services.

Our volunteers undertake a wide variety of activities, such as driving housebound people to appointments, shopping, befriending, working with groups, and gardening and DIY.

Volunteers also assist in the Centre office, on reception, in Committee work and through fundraising.
